Spring 2023 General Election

SGA Interest Sessions

The SGA will hold its only interest session on Monday, March 13th in Monroe 116 during our All-SGA Meeting. Students interested in becoming members and members running for re-election will receive information on SGA, how to run a successful campaign, and be able to ask any questions regarding the Student Governance process. Can’t make our interest session? Email Joey Zeldin, SGA President, at jzeldin@mail.umw.edu to schedule an interest session appointment.

Please note that you must attend an interest session or interest session appointment to qualify to run. Appointment times are NOT guaranteed and are accepted on availability of the SGA President.

Open Positions

The SGA will have vacancies for the positions listed below. Any position marked with an asterisk means that you must have served at least one semester in SGA to be able to run for the position. Any position marked with two asterisks means you must have served at least two semesters to be able to run for the position.

  • All Class of 2024, Class of 2025, and Class of 2026 Senate Seats will be vacant. There are 4 seats per class.
  • SGA President
  • SGA Vice President**
  • SGA Senate Vice President**
  • SGA Committee Chair Positions* (See SGA Constitution for all Committee information, located under Article 5, Section 7 of the SGA Constitution.)
